President
Professor Xenophon I. Contiades
Xenophon Contiades is a Professor at the Department (faculty) of Social and Educational Policy of the Social Sciences School (seated in Corinthos) of the University of Peloponnese and President of the Board of Directors - Scientific Director of the Centre for European Constitutional Law - Themistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation seated in Athens. He teaches at the Hellenic Open University and the National School of Public Administration. He is also a lawyer at the Supreme Court, member of the Athens Bar Association.
He studied Law in Athens and Munich. His doctoral thesis concerned the entrenchment of the Social State and social rights. His scientific-researching interests lie in the field of Public Law and Public Policies, while an important part of his works is dedicated to issues concerning social administration and social protection institutions.
His writings include seventeen books and seventy articles, as well as the scientific editorship of therteen volumes.
He has participated as a scientific supervisor, researcher or expert in a large number of european and national research programmes and programmes for the transfer of institutional know-how to third countries.
